Picket at Hometown Harvest Foods

Members of The United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1889 have been picketing at Hometown Harvest Foods located at 2505 6^th Ave N in Great Falls.

Terrie Trettenbach, President of The United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1889, claims that the previous owner has a contract with the union effective until August 1^st. “She laid off 13 out of 29 employees, including a Marine Corps veteran with a TBI,” stated Michael Duryee, with United Food and Commercial Workers Union, referring to the new owner of Hometown Harvest Foods.

“The new owner came in and let several go,” stated Terrie. “People came in to work and were told they no longer had a job, that they were going a different direction. We are simply asking people to shop elsewhere until she comes back to the negotiating table."

The United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1889 is based out of Butte and plans to return on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of July.
