Letter to the Editor
As we approach Christmas, many families reflect on what matters most. For me, that answer has always been children, family, and protecting the people we love. That is why I am announcing my candidacy for Montana State Senate District 10.
Families across Montana face systems that feel unpredictable, especially in the courts. Justice should not depend on how much money someone has, which attorney they can afford, or how complicated the process becomes. When laws are unclear, ordinary people are left confused and harmed.
I am running because we can write clearer laws, strengthen accountability, and make sure children and families are not overlooked in state systems that are supposed to protect them. Leadership should reflect compassion and responsibility, not fear of backlash or pressure from powerful interests.
As Christmas approaches, I hope every Montana family finds moments of peace and connection. This season reminds us to care for one another. I intend to carry those values into public service and listen with respect to every voice in our community.
Thank you for reading. I welcome questions and conversations.
Sincerely,
Jessica Dyrdahl
Candidate for Montana Senate District 10
