In the heart of Great Falls, tucked inside the Columbus Center at 1601 2nd Ave N, you’ll find a small but deeply intentional childcare center with a big mission: The Walk. More than a place for children to spend their day, The Walk is a faith-based learning community where spirituality and education come together in harmony.

At The Walk, our mission is rooted in love—love for children, families, staff, and the community we serve. Inspired by Scripture, we believe that when children are surrounded by love, taught truth, and guided with care, they grow into people of strong character and bright purpose. As 1 John 5:2 reminds us, “By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.”

A Place Where Children Are Known and Loved

What truly sets The Walk apart is our small-group classroom setting. With intentionally smaller class sizes, our children receive meaningful one-on-one attention, allowing teachers to truly know each child—their strengths, their challenges, and their hearts. This nurturing environment helps children feel safe, supported, and confident as they learn and grow.

We strive every day to “walk in love,” treating each child, family, and staff member with respect, patience, and kindness. Our goal is to model the love of Christ, creating a space where children learn not only academics, but also compassion, obedience, and respect for others.

Faith-Based Learning for the Whole Child

At The Walk, we focus on the whole child—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Alongside daily learning, children are taught biblical values, encouraged to be peacemakers, and guided to shine as a light to those around them. As Proverbs 22:6 teaches, we believe in training children in the way they should go, laying a foundation that will stay with them for life.

We also offer weekly Physical Education classes led by a degree-certified PE teacher, helping children build strength, coordination, teamwork, and discipline in a positive, faith-filled setting.

Serving Families with Flexible Care

The Walk serves families Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, offering full-time, part-time, and drop-in care to meet the needs of our community. We are proud to offer a 10% military discount for active duty, veterans, and retired military members as a small way of saying thank you for your service.

At this time, we have four openings available for children ages 6 weeks to 11 months, spots available for children ages 1 to 2 years, and limited availability for children between the ages of 2 and 6. Families are encouraged to reach out to secure their spot today.

More Than Childcare—A Community Resource

Our heart extends beyond our walls. We strive to be peacemakers in the community, bridging gaps and offering support to families wherever possible. At The Walk, children are not just cared for—they are prayed for, encouraged, and prepared to grow into loving, responsible individuals.

If you are looking for a safe, nurturing, faith-based childcare where your child will be truly known and valued, we invite you to come meet us and learn more about The Walk.
