Great Falls Park and Recreation Recognised by Arbor Day Foundation

Every year, communities across the country gather to celebrate Arbor Day, an occasion dedicated to honoring trees and advocating for a greener future. On April 24th, residents came together to participate in various activities to promote environmental awareness and tree planting programs.

This year, Great Falls Park and Recreation celebrated Arbor Day by planting a beautiful Linden tree in Roosevelt Park, a beloved green space in the community. This event not only enhances the park's natural beauty but also contributes to the local ecosystem by providing shade and improving air quality.

For 45 consecutive years, Great Falls has earned recognition from the Arbor Day Foundation as a "Tree City USA." This honor reflects the city’s commitment to maintaining a healthy urban forest and promoting tree care and sustainability.

City Forester Todd Seymanski plays a crucial role in this achievement. With 35 years of dedicated service to Park & Recreation, Todd is passionate about the importance of trees in our community.
