Family Promise of Great Falls Announces Fourth Annual Soc Hop

Family Promise of Great Falls is pleased to announce the Fourth Annual Sock Hop fundraiser, which will take place on Saturday, April 25th, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Elks Lodge in Great Falls.
The Sock Hop (Serving Our Community – Honoring Our Promise) will offer an evening of 1950s-inspired entertainment, including food, games, and dancing. This event is designed for individuals of all ages and serves as a nostalgic opportunity to raise crucial funds for programs assisting homeless children and their families in achieving stable housing.
Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres provided by Clark and Lewies Restaurant and Catering, accompanied by live music performed by Caleb Ford, featuring popular tunes from the 1950s. The event will also include a silent auction and a dessert auction, along with various engaging activities such as hula hoop contests and limbo. Prizes will be awarded for the most authentic 1950s costumes.
“This is our main fundraiser for the year and will aid us in our effort to fight against the ‘Invisible Crisis’ of childhood homelessness,” said Family Promise Executive Director Greg Grosenick. “Generous donations will help lead to a brighter future where every child has a home and every family has a promise.”
Established in 2014, Great Falls Family Promise is dedicated to assisting homeless families and their children in meeting essential needs while providing the necessary training to secure stable housing. In the past year, Family Promise of Great Falls served 110 families, including 235 children, and provided more than 5,400 meals.
“Because we want to continue to offer more assistance to more homeless children and their families, we need to grow,” Grosenick said. “We would like to acquire additional property to house more families and provide a common area for volunteer interaction, financial and parental training, and fellowship. We simply cannot do this without more public financial support.”
